My name is Lindsay, and I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Board Certified Sports Dietitian (Check my what is a registered dietitian link to know more about my credentials!)

I am currently a Licensed Dietitian working for the University of Nevada, Reno in their Wellness and Weight Management Clinic, as well with Family Medicine. I counsel individuals for weight loss, athletic performance improvement, and various nutrition related diseases. I also conduct classes for weight loss and weight management. To my excitement, we have just partnered up with the Sports Medicine Department, where I will be leading classes and counseling for the UNR Athletes and coaches.

Besides being a Registered Dietitian, I am a competitive snowboarder, Coalition Snow Ambassador, surfer, hiker and overall outdoors lover. I like food, a lot. I have witnessed firsthand how food can help with performance (I was a competitive swimmer for 18 years, I swam from Alcatraz-twice-no wet suit, I compete in the Rhalves’ Banzai Tour, and have competed in two triathletes, aiming to do more and place higher (I placed top 10 in the most recent one I did).

Tahoe Triathlon, from start to finish. I was pretty much the only one without a wetsuit. Amazing event. They even had my favorite beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, at the end!

This, is what I live for.

I love dogs, especially mine. Her name is Hula, and she is a border collie / lab / human mix. She definitely helps keep me active.

    1. I’m sorry I just saw this! I am currently a Nutrition Care Manager at an outpatient rehab center. I do a lot of menu planning and assistance with patients with complicated diets. My real passion is with sports nutrition and fitness. I’m working on getting private clients and working on helping them eat right! I love food, and love when I can teach people about all of the benefits of eating healthy. Other than that, I snowboard, surf, hike, bike, run, swim, and like being outside 🙂 How about yourself?
